At great cost, the military funded a spectacular Hollywood movie to divert attention away from the Tower's main function. While untold crackpots "watch the skies", deep underground concrete bunkers are being filled with America's supply of broken Walkman earpieces.
Unless the Japanese perfect a good quality cordless droplet before 2001, Devil's Tower is doomed to be the scene of a major headphonic erruption.
